Bluegum's room mix (twins that sleep three, family-friendly singles, kitchenettes for early-start mornings) and the saltwater pool make it a natural carnival weekend base.

Booking lead times — honest guidance
- State titles + state-level rep weekends: family-room sizes usually gone 6–12 weeks out. Single rooms last a little longer.
- Regional carnivals + association fixtures: typically bookable 3–6 weeks ahead. Tighter if your dates clash with school holidays.
- Anything during the Dubbo Show week (May): book early irrespective of the carnival.
- Anything September/October: school holidays + zoo families + spring carnivals overlap. Book early.

When does carnival season run in Dubbo?
March–October. Junior representative sport drives the biggest accommodation surges in Dubbo outside school holidays. Rugby league carnivals, netball championships, touch football tournaments, hockey championships, cricket carnivals and school sport championships all rotate through the city.
How early do carnival weekends book out?
Family-apartment / twin rooms tighten 6–12 weeks ahead for state-level rep weekends. Regional carnivals are usually bookable 3–6 weeks ahead, tighter if dates clash with school holidays. If your team has a fixture confirmed, lock rooms early.
Can our team or club book several rooms together?
Yes. We regularly accommodate sporting teams and family groups. Email bookings@patriciacoffee.mom with your group size, room split (singles / twins / families) and dates. Tell us early which players need to be near each other.
Which rooms work best for sporting families?
Deluxe Queen Twin and Executive King Twin sleep three (Queen + King Single, King + King Single). Premier King Studio is our most spacious for parents who want a separate sitting area. We have 2 rollaway beds on site if you need to fit a fourth.
Can I extend if our team progresses to finals?
Yes — let reception know as soon as you have an update. We'll do our best, subject to availability. The night after a quarterfinal is often when the most last-minute extensions happen, so it pays to flag the possibility at booking.
